The postseason honors continue for Pitt defensive end Rashad Weaver, who yesterday was named first team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America.
Weaver had already been named an All-American first-teamer by CBS Sports, ESPN, Football Focus, and the Associated Press, and was chosen by The Sporting News as a second team All-American. He was also named first-team All-ACC.
Senior linebacker Phil Campbell III announced yesterday that he will return for another season at Pitt, taking advantage of the NCAA’s new rule for the pandemic. Campbell has started the last two seasons after being converted from safety to linebacker.
