Over 200 million eggs that were sold in stores across nine states, including Pennsylvania, are being recalled.
Rose Acre Farms of Seymour, Indiana, issued the voluntary recall in an abundance of caution for salmonella in the eggs. The Food and Drug Administration has reported 22 illnesses so far. The eggs were sold under the names of Wal-Mart’s “Great Value” brand along with Coburn Farms, Country Daybreak, Glenview, Nelms and Sunshine Farms.
The recall involves eggs with the plant number P-1065 and has a Julian date range of 011 to 102 printed on either side of the egg carton or package. If you have these eggs, you are asked to stop using them and return them to where you bought them for a refund.
