On the second day of the PA Youth Legion Western Regional at First Commonwealth Bank Field, a spectacular fireworks display capped an exciting day, but the two Indiana County teams could not provide enough fireworks to get a win.
Penn Trafford knocked off Saegertown, 8-3, to remain unbeaten. They’re the only undefeated team left in the Regional. In other action, Millcreek downed S.W. Jack, 7-4. Monroeville took down Murrysville in extra innings, and in the nightcap game, Homer City Post 493 was beaten by Edinboro Post 439, 5-1.
The night also included a visit from the Pirate Parrot, who delighted young and old fans alike with his antics.
Today’s schedule includes Penn Trafford will play Millcreek at 10 AM, followed at 1 o’clock by Monroeville against Edinboro. At 4, S.W. Jack will tangle with Saegertown, and at 7, it’s Homer City Post 493 versus Murrysville. The S.W.
