CRASH, AUTOMATIC FIRE ALARMS REPORTED ON FRIDAY

First responders had a quiet night on Friday in Indiana county with only three calls reported.

A vehicle accident was reported on Leech Avenue at 7:00 PM in Conemaugh Township.  Saltsburg and Tunnelton fire departments were dispatched to the scene to assist State Police and Lifestat EMS.

And Indiana Fire Association was called out for two automatic fire alarm activations.  The first was at 9:01 PM on Water Street in Indiana borough.  The other was at 9:30 PM on Heritage Run Road in White Township.

The long-awaited bike-pedestrian bridge across Route 22 is now open! What do you think?

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!
I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.
I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)
It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.
Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.
It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
