The Sioux Falls Storm of the Indoor Football League (IFL) has announced the signing of former IUP wide receiver JoJo Gause.
Gause made 110 receptions for 1,611 yards and 22 touchdowns – fifth in IUP football history – in 43 games with the Crimson Hawks. As a senior, he earned second team All-PSAC West honors by catching a team-best 52 receptions for 838 yards and nine touchdowns – all career-highs.
Gause transferred to IUP from Rutgers in 2016 and immediately took over a starting spot as a outside receiver. He played a significant role in getting the Crimson Hawks to three NCAA Division II playoff appearances in his four years, including a PSAC title and national semifinal appearance in 2017.
The Storm announced the signing on its official Twitter account on Saturday.
The Storm is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and plays in the Denny Sanford Premier Center. The team’s 2021 season opener is currently slated for Sunday, March 28 against the Green Bay Blizzard.
