FOUR HERITAGE FOOTBALL PLAYERS NAMED TO PFN ALL-STATE TEAMS

Four Heritage Conference football were named to the 2020 Class 1A PFN Coaches Select All-State Team on Sunday.

Homer-Center senior quarterback Ben Schmidt was voted to the First Team, as high school football coaches in Pennsylvania nominated and voted on the second annual Coaches Select All-State teams.

Schmidt’s teammate and primary target, senior wide receiver Drew Kochman, made the Second Team, along with senior running Josh Syster of Purchase Line and senior running Hunter Cameron of United.

Also named to the Second Team as a “PFN Pick” on the First Team was Blacklick Valley junior Nate Schilling, a fullback and linebacker. This selection is someone the PFN believed “was overlooked and should be on an All-State Team.”
