While Indiana County was under a severe weather threat late last night, few negative effects from the strong storms have been reported.
Indiana County 911 reported a handful of incidents from last night and this morning. The first of which was a traffic control detail requested of the Pine and Cherryhill Township fire departments at 10:41 PM on Route 422 East in Pine Township.
A report of utility lines down came in at 12:36 this morning on East Chestnut Street in Blairsville Borough. Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were dispatched.
Speaking of power, there are also power outages being reported this morning by both Penelec and REA Energy. As of right now, 28 Penelec Customers and 30 REA Energy Cooperative members are without power, with most of the outages in West and East Wheatfield Townships along with Saltsburg Borough. No word yet on when power will be fully restored to the county.
