As the Pittsburgh Steelers look to bounce back after three straight losses this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, the latest injury report shows more good news than bad.
It shows that running back James Conner will return to his starting spot in the backfield on Sunday after practicing in full on Friday. Conner was inactive due to a quad injury in the Steelers’ loss to the Bengals.
Also returning for Pittsburgh this week is tight end Eric Ebron (back), fullback Derek Watt (concussion) and defensive end Stephon Tuitt (back).
Running back Anthony McFarland (illness) and kicker Chris Boswell (groin) are listed as questionable and could be a game-time decision on Sunday.
The Steelers also announced linebacker Ulysees Gilbert III was placed on the injured reserve after sustaining an ankle injury on Friday. Gilbert’s absence allows an open roster spot for linebacker Vince Williams to return who was on the COVID-19/reserve list since Dec. 10.
In a press conference this week, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick told reporters he’s excited to have a veteran leader back in the linebacker core.
Kickoff for the Steelers and Colts is set for 1 p.m. tomorrow, and coverage begins at 11 a.m. on WDAD AM1450 and 100.3 FM.
