Pitt senior associate athletic director Penny Semaia is leaving the university to become the vice president of stadium relations for the Buffalo Bills, who are building a brand new football stadium.
Semaia was a four-year football letterman at Pitt from 2000 to 2003 and joined the athletic department soon after his football days were over. In a multi-faceted career holding many different positions, he has received Pitt’s Chancellor’s Award for Staff Excellence in the Community, the Art Ramicone Unsung Hero Award from the school’s Division of Student Affairs, and the city of Pittsburgh’s Citizen Service Award.
Semaia is a native of the Buffalo area.
