VEHICLE CRASH REPORTED THIS MORNING IN YOUNG TOWNSHIP

First responders had an early morning as they responded to a vehicle accident on Route 286 West in Young Township.

Coal Run and Iselin-West Lebanon firefighters were called out at 12:54 this morning to the site of a one-vehicle crash on Route 286 Westbound just west of McIntyre Road.  Brian Schirato of the Iselin-West Lebanon fire department said that the crash happened as the driver collided with a tree that fell across the roadway.  He said that the driver was not able to see the tree on the roadway.

No injuries were reported.  State police and Citizens’ Ambulance EMT’s were also dispatched to the scene.

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!
I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.
I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)
It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.
Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.
It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
