A restaurant group with locations in Indiana and Shelocta is defying Governor Wolf’s orders meant to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Crouse’s Café in both Downtown Indiana and Shelocta remain open for in-person dining along with take-out orders. In a post on their Facebook page on December 15th, Crouse’s representatives said that they could not justify closing two weeks before Christmas. The closure would force owners to lay off more than 25 employees right before the holidays. The post also stated that they felt they along with many other small businesses “may not be able to survive another shutdown.”
Crouse’s said they will continue to follow safety guidelines to give diners as safe a dining experience as they can.
