Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker and Hall of Famer Kevin Greene passed away on Monday. He was only 58 years old.
Greene came to the Steelers in 1993 and played only three years of his 15-year career in Pittsburgh, but he went into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a Steeler in 2016. He was credited with 160 career sacks, third most in NFL history.
Greene played with four other teams and coached with the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets. He played in the Pro Bowl five times, was named All-Pro three times, led the league in sacks twice and was NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1996. Greene retired in 1996.
No cause of death has been announced.
