Indiana Borough’s summer paving schedule is underway today, and several borough roads are affected by the schedule.
The plan is to start milling these roads and paving operations to take place the following week. The roads affected include:
– South Avenue (between 6th Street – Maryland Way)
– Clark Avenue (between 6th Street – Maryland Way)
– Willow Avenue (between 6th Street – 7th Street)
– Virginia Avenue (between 6th Street – 7th Street)
– Diamond Avenue (between 6th Street – 7th Street)
– Maryland Way (between South Avenue – Diamond Avenue)
– Carpenter Avenue (between Philadelphia Street – Church Street)
– Gompers Avenue (between 10th Street – 11th Street)
Work is expected to last two weeks and traffic will be directed in affected areas.
On top of that, work is continuing for a gas line project along Church Street in Indiana Borugh. Because of that, traffic is being affected at the intersection of 9th and Philadelphia Streets, with traffic blocked going south on South 9th street. The northbound side of South 9th is still open at this time to provide a detour around the scene.
