The White Township supervisors will hold two meetings tonight. One of them will be a public hearing for the township’s comprehensive plan update.
The hearing will start at 7:00 PM, and will focus on updates made to the 2008 comprehensive plan. The updated plan, called “White Township Priorities 2020,” is a collection of maps, charts and information that is designed to provide the township with guidance for township ordinances, public investments and capital improvements, and will update the township’s priorities and outline new projects to help improve the community.
The public will be allowed to provide comment on the draft update during the hearing.
After the hearing, the township’s regular meeting will get underway and up for approval is the final 2021 budget for the township. The budget will contain no increases in fees or taxes for township residents and like in years past, there are no property taxes included in the budget. Expenditures for the township come to $8,781,923, while income is at $8,281,078. The township will use some of its surplus to fill the budget gap.
Tonight’s meeting is accessible through the township website, www.whitetownship.org.
