DUI Charges are pending against a Homer City man after a crash was reported by state police last Friday. Troopers say that at 11:49 PM on December 11th, 30-year-old Kyle Miller was driving on Saltsburg Road near Route 286 in Young Township and failed to negotiate a right curve. The vehicle went uphill slightly on the East Side and rolled over, coming to rest on its driver’s side across both lanes of Saltsburg Road.
Miller fled the scene prior to the arrival of state police but was found later on at his home and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He also had multiple cuts and bruises from the crash. Police arrested Miller on suspected DUI, and charges are pending the results of a blood test.
State police are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run crash that happened last Thursday in Young Township. Troopers say that the crash happened as a 2014 to 2017 Jeep Patriot was stopped at the intersection of Blue Street and Iselin Road. The Jeep then backed down Blue Street with its lights out and collided with a Chevy Silverado, causing minor damage. The Jeep fled the scene. Police say that the Jeep also took on minor damage, with some black paint transfer on the rear passenger side fender.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call state police at 724-357-1960.
