Purchase Line School District Superintendent Shawn Ford announced yesterday on the district website that two new coronavirus notifications at the high school will result in the extension of the short-term closure of the building starting today and through Friday. The elementary school will remain open as planned.
The two new cases are a confirmed positive in one student and a probable positive in another. Through contact tracing, those who have been exposed to those students will be notified and quarantined.
The new schedule at the Junior-Senior High School will be full remote learning for all students for the entire week. ICTC students will also be fully remote. Pre-K through sixth grade students will have in-school instruction through Thursday, and be remote on Friday.
