Representatives of the River Valley School District have been invited to the White House on Tuesday to be recognized for the district’s efforts to create career-ready programs for rural-based schools. Superintendent Philip Martell says it’s gratifying that the U.S. Department of Education is using River Valley as an exemplar program for other schools across the nation.
River Valley was recently one of six school districts in the nation honored by the School Superintendents Association as a National “Lighthouse” School System for creating “future ready learners.”
