The Steelers will be trying to maintain a perfect record and Washington will be battling for first place when they meet this afternoon at Heinz Field.
According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Sunday, Roethlisberger, who listed as questionable in the injury report, practiced on Sunday in the team’s walk-through and will now play tonight against Washington. Additionally, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports said Sunday that head coach Mike Tomlin texted him today to say that Roethlisberger, who reportedly is dealing with a stiff knee this week, will indeed play Monday night against Washington.
However, the news is not so good concerning cornerback Steven Nelson (knee) and kicker Chris Boswell (hip). The Steelers are less likely to have them tonight, according to reports.
Pittsburgh is coming off a win over Baltimore last week. The pre game begins at 3 p.m. on WDAD AM 1450 and 100.3 FM.
Also tonight the Bills visit the 49ers in Monday Night Football.
