One of Indiana’s craft breweries is going through an expansion of both its current location and into Blair County.
Levity Brewing announced that it is expanding its current taproom in Indiana and it plans on opening a second location in Altoona. For its Indiana expansion, plans are to turn the former Gorell Windows employee gym on the second floor into a second taproom that will not only serve as an overflow area for their regular customers but as an area that people will be able to rent out for private parties. The larger space will allow for double the occupancy of its current location while allowing everyone to gather safely.
Construction has also started on the second taproom in Altoona, which will use the old Chalk Box building on 11th Avenue. Phase one includes constructing the building’s façade and selling to-go beer in a small storefront, with a taproom and restaurant to open later on. The ultimate goal will be to open a second brewery that will brew beers unique to the Altoona location.
Plans are for both locations to open around the first of the year.
