Two more members of the Baltimore Ravens organization tested positive for coronavirus yesterday and the entire team has to take one more test before they can play, but the NFL says today’s game is on between the Ravens and the Steelers. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:40 PM.
The Ravens had already departed Baltimore for Pittsburgh when the latest test results came in, indicating the virus in a player and another employee, who was termed a “staffer.”
Steelers players James Conner, Stephon Tuitt, and Jerald Hawkins will miss the game due to Covid, as will special teams coach Danny Smith, who was not officially termed Covid-positive, but was listed as out for illness. Quarterbacks coach Matt Canada will be back on the sidelines after his return from illness.
As of yesterday afternoon, the Ravens still had 19 players on the Reserve/Covid list, including quarterback Lamar Jackson. Robert Griffin III will start at QB for Baltimore. Running backs J.K Dobbins and Mark Ingram are expected back from the virus list today and the Ravens have activated defensive tackle Brandon Williams, quarterback Trace McSorley, and cornerbacks Tavon Young and Khalil Dorsey.
