The Homer-Center School Board will meet tonight, and the final budget for 2023 will be on the agenda.
The budget has changed from the preliminary budget approved last month. The budget now comes to $19,795,119, which is an increase in around $24,000. However, the taxes would come to 17.4270 mils under the new proposed budget instead of the 17.5945 mils from the budget proposed in May.
The board will also look to approve a schedule of meetings for the rest of the calendar year. There would be no scheduled meeting for the month of July and meetings would resume in August. Another proposal on the agenda tonight would be to have the Homer-Center Swim Team join the Central Western Alleghenies Aqua Conference for the next school year.
The meeting starts at 7:30 tonight in the district board room.
