Two people face charges related to reckless driving incidents in Indiana Borough. One incident took place yesterday and the other happened earlier this month.
Indiana Borough Police report that on November 29th, they were called out to the Sheetz at the intersection of 4th and Philadelphia Street for a report of Jamie Nibert trying to hit customers in the parking lot with her vehicle. Police found Nibert in her vehicle and she tried to hit another vehicle and a police car. She resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody. Nibert is charged with three felony counts of aggravated assault, two counts to cause injury with extreme indifference and one count to cause serious bodily injury to designated individuals, three counts of reckless endangerment, single counts of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct and three summary counts of reckless driving. She is now in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
The other reckless driving incident happened on November 7th. Police say that around 7:23 PM, police were notified that there was a reckless driver in the 800 block of School Street. A traffic stop was conducted and discovered the driver, 20-year-old Kameron P. Carr of Gibsonia, was under the influence of a controlled substance. Police also found a fake ID on his person. Carr was taken into custody and released to a sober adult. Charges of DUI, carrying a fake ID and a summary traffic violation were filed through District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
