MARION CENTER SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET TONIGHT

The Marion Center School Board is also scheduled meet tonight and they will discuss the 2023-24 budget.

The district’s proposed budget cones to $30.532,041 and will require taxes to go up 2.5% to 12.4461 mils.  The board will also look to approve a service order to provide services for the vestibule at Rayne Elementary School, hire several people for coaching positions in boys and girls basketball, boys and girls swimming, wrestling and cheerleading.

The meeting will be held at 7:00 PM at the McCreery Cafeteria Annex.

The long-awaited bike-pedestrian bridge across Route 22 is now open! What do you think?

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!
I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.
I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)
It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.
Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.
It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
