Downtown Indiana will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day today with several events going on throughout town.
There will be several activities for the family today, including the annual Leprechaun look alike contest at 11:00 in front of Spaghetti Benders. All are welcome to take part and each competitor will have the opportunity to march in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade which starts at noon at 5th and Philadelphia Street. Parade lineup will be in the 400 block of Philadelphia Street, so expect Philadelphia Street from 4th to 9th to be closed off around 11:00 this morning for parade setup.
Various downtown businesses will host events for the family. This includes a performance by the Laurel Highlanders bagpipe group after the parade at The Coney.
