Today is the 31st annual Oldies Attic Turkeython to benefit the United Way and several groups to help feed those in need during the holidays.
Money donated during Oldies Attic Turkeython will be given to the United Way to help their member agencies and grocers will match those donations with turkeys and food cards to help out people who need assistance with food, including The Salvation Army, Homer City Food Bank, Creekside United Methodist Church Food Bank, the Chevy Chase Community Center, the Deacons Pantry in Blairsville and groups helping homeless veterans in Indiana County.
Otto said that there will be people at various grocery stores today to help out with the collections.
The Turkeython will be on the Oldies Attic from 9-noon today. If you want to make a pledge, you can call into the Turkeython by calling 724-479-1160 or 724-349-WCCS.
