BAYSOX DUMP CURVE IN OPENER

The Curve dropped the series opener to Bowie last night, 4-1, at PNG Field.

Aaron Shortridge took the loss after allowing two runs in five-and-one-third innings. Connor Scott finished with three hits, while Liover Peguero tallied two hits including a double.

Both teams play in a doubleheader starting at 4:30. RHP Braxton Ashcraft, who was promoted to Altoona on Tuesday, gets the start in game one. He was 0-2 with a 3.03 ERA in 11 games since coming off Tommy John Surgery with High-A Greensboro.

No word on starters for game two.
