A man charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest in an incident last month is due in district court for a preliminary hearing today.
37-year-old Matthew Pacconi is facing charges of misdemeanor resisting arrest, three summary counts of disorderly conduct and single counts of public drunkenness and criminal mischief for an incident May 6th at the Marion Center Speedway. State police were called to the scene at 8:35 PM that night for a report of an intoxicated person. He was taken to IRMC to be medically cleared to go to Indiana County jail when he became unruly and disorderly with hospital staffers and troopers. He also urinated in the room he was being held in at the hospital, forcing staff to re-clean it. As he was being placed in the car to head to the county jail, he resisted arrest. He has been free on $5000 bail.
He is due in front of District Judge Guy Haberl at 1:30 this afternoon.
