The Altoona Curve snapped a three-game losing streak with a 6-2 win over the Somerset Patriots on Friday night.
Matt Frazier and Liover Peguero combined for five hits at the top of the order, and Frazier and Matt Gorski got solo homers in the early innings, but left-handed reliever Nick Dombkowski was magnificent throwing 4 and 2/3rds innings of one-run relief. He came in after starter Sean Sullivan threw 74 pitches in 3 and a thirds innings in his return from the injured list. Juan Minaya threw a scoreless ninth inning to get the save.
The two teams play again tonight. The Curve have yet to announce their starting pitcher.
