The Indiana School Board will meet tonight and agreements for the acting superintendent and the director of education will be discussed.
For the acting superintendent agreement, the board will look to approve a motion to modify the salary of acting superintendent Dr. Robert Heinrich to a prorated salary of $135,000. The other agreement will be to appoint Justin Zahorchak as the temporary director of education and special education at a prorated salary of $130,000. This will go into effect when Heinrich takes over acting superintendent duties. Upon the end of his tenure, Zahorchak will return to his position as director of special education.
The board will also look at hiring several fall and winter sports positions, including head coaches for football, cross country, volleyball, winter track, cheerleading and boys and girls team coaches for soccer, golf, tennis, basketball, and other sports.
Also up for approval is a proposal from Snider Recreation for the installation of playground equipment at East Pike Elementary School at $27,295.
The meeting starts at 7:00 tonight in the district board room.
