Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi landed more new recruits for the Class of ’24 over the weekend, adding defensive back Nigel Maynard of Smyrna, Tennessee; guard Caleb Holmes of Fairburn, Georgia; and cornerback Chasen Johnson of Sanford, Florida. All are rated three-star prospects by Rivals.com.
Narduzzi’s Twitter account on Saturday announced that he had gotten four verbal commitments but the coach is not permitted to reveal them. Maynard, Holmes, and Johnson, if they are three of the four, would leave one more to reveal himself.
Pitt now has 17 recruits for the class of ’24, which is one less than Notre Dame, Georgia, Michigan, and Minnesota, which lead the nation.
Rivals.com lists Pitt as having the ninth best recruiting class in the nation. Penn State also has 17 recruits. Rivals give the Nittany Lions the number 7 spot in its national rankings.
