Last night, Clymer Borough Council approved the budget for 2021.
The budget balances at $539,700. While the fire protection tax did increase from .3 mils to .5 mils, Borough Council President Louis Tate announced that the budget for next year would not contain any general tax increases.
The budget will be on display at the borough offices and will be up for approval at their December meeting.
In other business, the board promoted Parker Scherf to a full time officer in the police department and re-hired Hunter Scherf as a part time patrolman.
