The Steelers have placed tight end Vance McDonald on the reserve/covid-19 list. McDonald was ill last Friday but played 24 snaps on Sunday against the Cowboys. The team is now in the NFL’s Intensive Protocol and will likely place a number of players on the reserve/covid-19 list today because of “high-risk” exposure. Those players must isolate for five days, but they would be able to come off the list and play Sunday if there are no complications.
The team says Ben Roethlisberger looks like he will be ready to play this week against the Bengals despite suffering injuries to both of his knees against the Cowboys. Both injuries occurred on the same hit in the second quarter, as he was sandwiched between two defenders while releasing a pass. Big Ben underwent tests following the game Sunday.
