Negotiations will continue between the State System of Higher Education and the union representing its coaches.
In a joint news release from PASSHE and APSCUF, negotiations took place yesterday with both sides discussing the evaluation process and orientations. A two-day negotiating session is scheduled for June 17th and 18th. Coaches will work under the terms of the current contract while negotiations continue should they go past the contract expiration date of June 30th. APSCUF Coach Executive Leader John Gump said that while they have made progress, “there is much more work ahead before we reach a contract that is fair to coaches and student-athletes.”
Meanwhile, APSCUF and PASSHE will meet again today for a negotiation session over the Teachers’ contract. That contract is also set to expire on June 30th.
