A tanker crash in Jackson Township, Cambria County affected traffic and residents in the surrounding area.
Evacuations were ordered in the area of the crash on Route 22 on Monday evening by Cambria County’s Emergency Management Agency. 911 dispatchers said that the truck was reportedly hauling chlorine. Multiple fire departments were on the scene, including from Armagh/East Wheatfield fire department in Indiana County. Crews were working to make sure that the material leaking from the tanker did not get into a nearby stream.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
