The University of Pittsburgh has announced twelve new members for its sixth Athletics Hall of Fame class. They represent seven sports and will be inducted September 22nd at Petersen Events Center, then introduced to fans at the football game the next day against North Carolina at Acrisure Stadium.
This year’s Pitt Hall of Fame selections are:
- Football players Ruben Brown, Matt Cavanaugh, Larry Fitzgerald, and the late Chris Doleman
- Basketball’s Clyde Vaughn
- Swimming & diving coach Richard Bradshaw and swimmer Suzanne Pulley-Klacik
- Wrestler Keith Gavin
- Late baseball coach Bobby Lewis
- Soccer player and coach Joe Luxbacher
- Track & field and cross country’s Maureen McCandless and track & field hurdler Allison Williams-Murphy.
