On Monday night, the Center Township Supervisors approved applying for a grant for a project in Lucernemines.
Resolution 23-03 authorizes a request for a Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant for $630,000. Supervisors Chairman Matt Housholder talked about what the Lucernemines Project entails.
The supervisors are waiting to see if the grant is approved before moving forward, as the grant would repay any money spent for the paving.
In other business, the supervisors announced that auditor Jim Cutshaw has stepped down as he is moving out of the area. The supervisors are accepting names for people to be the new solicitor.
