COWANSHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, ARMSTRONG COUNTY
State police have had to become involved in another school incident in the area. This time, it involves an 18-year-old student at West Shamokin High School, who has been charged with harassment for threatening another student. Police say the suspect, who is from Numine, was removed from the school by school officials after threatening harm to the victim. Police were then made aware of an additional threat made yesterday through another student. Subsequent interviews led to the charges being filed.
BURRELL TOWNSHIP
State police have filed charges of possession of a controlled substance against 21-year-old Breanna Ribblet of Blairsville and 28-year-old Robert Reese of Connellsville. They’re accused of having heroin and drug paraphernalia at the Days Inn in Burrell Township on Saturday afternoon.
WHITE TOWNSHIP
Police do not identify the suspect of a harassment and criminal mischief complaint for an incident last Thursday along Fleming Road in White Township. A 31-year-old Indiana man argued with a 31-year-old woman and police say he took a swing at her but missed, then went outside and used a knife to flatten a tire on her vehicle.
WEST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP
A dispute between neighbors leads to harassment charges against James Decker of Mount Tabor Road in West Wheatfield Township. Police say that on Saturday morning, Ronald Empfield knocked on James Decker’s door and Decker punched Empfield in the face.
