Cornerback Mike Hilton was only a limited participant in Steelers practice yesterday and nose tackle Isaiah Buggs was out as the team put in a second day of preparations for the Dallas Cowboys.
Buggs is a key because of the ankle injury suffered by starter Tyson Alualu last week, but Buggs injured his ankle, too. The other options at nose tackle against the Cowboys are Henry Mondeaux and seventh-round draft pick Carlos Davis, who has yet to suit up for a game in his rookie season. The Steelers will need to be stout up front against the Cowboys, who will start either Cooper Rush or Garrett Gilbert at quarterback, meaning more carries for All-Pro running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Sunday’s game kicks off at 4:25 on WDAD, AM 1450 and FM 100.3.
