INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana Man with Simple Assault and Harassment for an incident last night in the borough. Police say they were called at 11:39 PM Wednesday night to a home in the 200 block of Washington Street for a report of a domestic violence incident in progress. Police discovered that Jose Rodriguez, a 23-year-old Indiana Man, had assaulted a woman in the home. When Rodriguez encountered police outside of the home, he was uncooperative and resisted arrest. On top of the simple assault and harassment charges, Rodriguez also faces charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Charges were filed with District Judge Christopher Welch, and he is currently in Indiana County Jail awaiting arraignment.
Indiana Borough Police are investigating a case of criminal mischief that happened early this morning. Police say they were called out at 3:03 this morning for an incident in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue. They found a man, who they did not name in the report, who told them that between 2 and 3 AM, the front door to his apartment was kicked in, causing damage.
