Today is Election Day and polls will be open until 8:00 PM tonight. While the Presidency has taken a lot of attention in the news, there are still several other races that will be on the ballot today.
Some of the state’s row offices will be decided today. They include the State Attorney General’s race between Josh Shapiro and Heather Heidelbaugh; the Auditor General position between Nina Ahmad, Timothy Defoor, Jennifer Moore and Olivia Faison; and the Treasurer’s race between Joe Torsella, Stacy Garrity, Daniel Wassmer and Richard Weiss.
Other races today include the 15th U.S. Congress district race between incumbent Glenn “GT” Thompson and challenger Robert Williams and the 41st State Senate seat between challenger Anthony DeLoreto and incumbent Joe Pittman. Two state house races will also be decided tonight, with Jim Struzzi running against Denny Semsick for the 62nd District seat, and Joseph Petrarca, Jr. running against Jason Silvis. Jeff Pyle and Brian Smith are running unopposed in the 60th and 66th districts respectively.
If you received a mail-in ballot and have not mailed it yet, you can fill it out and drop it off at the drop-box at the courthouse today from 7 AM to 8 PM. You can also surrender your mail in ballot packet to receive a paper ballot at your polling location. If you had applied for a mail in ballot, but do not have the materials with you today, you can only vote via provisional ballot. The county will start processing mail in ballots today.
