The Coronavirus crisis has changed a lot of things, and that includes where many people can vote today.
Several polling place changes have been announced in the months leading up to today’s general election. The polling place changes were made to make sure voters are safe. Many of the changes put the new polling locations in larger rooms, rather than in the small rooms where many voters could be waiting for long periods of time.
Those polling place changes include:
- Clymer Borough from the Borough Building to the Clymer Fire Hall Day Room on Sherman Street
- Blairsville Ward 3 from Morewood Towers to the Blairsville Community Center Gym.
- Armstrong 1 from the event hall to Shelocta United Presbyterian Church in Shelocta
- White 6 from the YMCA to Summit Church on West Pike Road. People are advised to use the church’s rear entrance.
- Indiana 3-1 from Pratt Hall to Zink Hall on Maple Street
Polls are open from 7 AM to 8 PM today.
