Sentencing was handed down in Indiana County Court yesterday to several defendants, including 26-year-old Marquice Mann of Indiana, who was ordered to serve time in state prison.
Mann was sentenced by visiting Senior Judge Timothy P. Creany to four to eight years for kidnapping to inflict injury or terror, plus twelve months of probation served concurrently for false imprisonment. He was also ordered to serve a concurrent term of four to eight years in prison for robbery, plus a consecutive term of probation for twelve months for defiant trespass and possession of a small amount of marijuana, and in still another case, twelve more months of probation for criminal trespass.
The kidnapping and robbery offenses were committed in August and September of last year.
Also yesterday, Judge Thomas Bianco ordered 45-year-old Matthew Deyarmin of Cherry Tree to serve one to three years in state prison for unlawful contact with a minor, involving inappropriate conduct with two 15-year-old girls in 2018.
Judge Bianco sentenced 29-year-old Andrew McCrommon of Pittsburgh to concurrent terms of one to three years in state prison for receiving stolen property and fleeing or eluding police.
32-year-old Darrell Eley of McKeesport to serve nine months to two years less a day for resisting arrest, plus six to twelve months concurrently for disorderly conduct. Eley was then paroled.
