It’s an ambitious day for the Indiana County courts today, with jury selection scheduled for no less than nineteen criminal trials, and prospective pools of jurors turning up on a rotating scheduled at the Kovalchick Complex.
Seven of those cases are trials for 41-year-old Ray Alan Irwin of Indiana, who is also listed with a Black Lick address. Combined, he is facing eleven felony counts for burglaries and retail theft, five related misdemeanor counts, and four counts of DUI.
There are five trials for 31-year-old Randy Maurice Criste-Troutman of Indiana, who is currently an inmate at SCI Monroe County. The combined charges against him include six felony offenses: four for aggravated harassment by a prison and two for aggravated assault.
Jury selection is also scheduled for:
- 42-year-old Vince Lamar Skillings of Derry, for misdemeanor defiant trespass and simple assault.
- 41-year-old Nora Adame of Scranton, for two counts of receiving stolen property.
- 46-year-old Jeffrey Philip Elliot of Homer City, for felony theft and receiving stolen property.
- 42-year-old Jason Scott Swanson of Indiana, for felony burglary and misdemeanor theft.
- 35-year-old Matthew David Normand of Indiana, for misdemeanor theft.
- 45-year-old Craig Irvin McMillen of Brockway and 54-year-old Robert Herman Richard of Saltsburg, both for DUI.
49-year-old Denise Rose Williams of Glen Campbell will have a Plea Court appearance today for two cases, on charges of theft (under-ring merchandise) and retail theft.
Today’s court schedule includes sentencing hearings for several defendants, including 26-year-old Marquice Mann of Indiana, who will be sentenced in three cases and have Plea Court in a fourth.
A jury found Mann guilty of kidnapping to inflict injury or terror, and false imprisonment. He was acquitted on charges of robbery, kidnapping for ransom, unlawful restrain, recklessly endangering, and theft. The incident happened at an apartment in White Township in September of last year. Mann pleaded guilty to defiant trespass after being ordered to leave a school building and possession of a small amount of marijuana, and in another case, to criminal trespass.
The Plea Court appearance is for robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, and three counts each of recklessly endangering and terroristic threats. The incident was in August of last year.
45-year-old Matthew William Deyarmin of Cherry Tree will be sentenced for unlawful contact with a minor (obscene and other sexual materials) in a case in which he offered money to a 15-year-old girl to expose her upper body and took photos of another 15-year-old girl as she showered at his home in 2018.
51-year-old James Klingensmith of Clymer will be sentenced in two cases, for DUI and driving while suspended, and for habitual offenders.
29-year-old Andrew McCrommon of Pittsburgh will be sentenced for receiving stolen property and fleeing or eluding law enforcement.
32-year-old Darrell Eley of Braddock will be sentenced for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
36-year-old Torri Lynn Heck of Elmira, New York will be sentenced for theft.
