The Steelers began practicing yesterday for this Sunday’s game at Baltimore, with five players missing and a number of others limited.
Safety Mike Hilton sat out again with a shoulder injury. Two offensive starters, tackle Alejandro Villanueva and tight end Erik Ebron, both were idled by elbow injuries, while safety Jordan Dangerfield sat with a quadriceps injury and defensive end Chris Wormley was out with a knee injury.
Among those missing for scheduled off days were Ben Roethlisberger, Maurkice Pouncey, David DeCastro, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Diontae Johnson. Roethlisberger and DeCastro were given rest days while the others are nursing minor injuries.
Fullback Derek Watt was a full participant after missing last week with a lingering hamstring injury.
The Ravens injury report yesterday included a number of guys who are expected to play but were given the day off. The most notable absence was running back Mark Ingram, who suffered an ankle sprain two weeks ago against the Eagles. Baltimore had last week off.
