Several different topics were discussed this morning as the candidates for the 62nd district state house seat met for a debate.
Republican incumbent Jim Struzzi is running against Democratic challenger Denny Semsick. One of the topics brought up was the Coronavirus pandemic and how the state has handled it so far. Struzzi said that Pennsylvania faces the same burdens even though the situation on Coronavirus has changed, and he is working now to fill a large budget gap.
Semsick replied saying he was against recent bills to loosen some of the restrictions put in place at the start of the pandemic.
Other topics covered included the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, the legalization of recreational marijuana, and the balance of power in state government.
