Coach Mike Tomlin says “It’s cool to be in the ‘game of the week’ for the third week in a row” this Sunday on the road against the Baltimore Ravens. The undefeated Steelers take on the 5-1 Ravens in a battle for first place in the AFC North, and Tomlin knows how big this game is.
At his weekly news conference yesterday, Tomlin said being undefeated is great, but the Steelers haven’t played as well as he believes they can.
Asked what the Steelers can do to keep Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson “in check,” Tomlin said the rest of the league wishes they knew, too.
The Steelers’ injury report includes defensive end Chris Wormley, with a bad knee that will require an MRI; and safety Jordan Dangerfield with a quad injury. Tomlin says linebacker Robert Spillane’s shoulder will be fine, and fullback Derek Watt could return from his sore hamstring this week. Safety Mike Hilton could also be back from his shoulder injury.
The Ravens have signed three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant to their practice squad. The 31-year-old hasn’t played in the league since December 2017.
The Steelers’ November 15th game against the Bengals is being flexed by the NFL from a 1 PM kickoff to 4:25.
