Another person has thrown his hat in the ring for the 62nd District Seat in the State House of Representatives.
Current Indiana County Commissioners Chairman Mike Baker has announced he will seek the Republican nomination for the seat currently held by Dave Reed. Baker is the former county coroner who was appointed Commissioner in 2014 on the retirement of Dave Frick, and elected to a four-year term in 2015. Baker said his priorities for his campaign include school property tax reform, jobs, economic and workforce development and public safety.
Baker joins three others in the race for the Republican nomination. Julie Anderson, Jim Struzzi and Shane Caylor have announced their intent to run for the nomination. Logan Dellafiora is running for the Democratic nomination. The seat is being vacated at the end of the term as Dave Reed, current house majority leader, is running for US Congress.
