The State Police Troop A Fire Marshal Unit is continuing to investigate last month’s fire at the former Clarksburg Valley Inn in Young Township and a fire this month at an abandoned barn along Tunnelton Road in Conemaugh Township. PA Crime Stoppers has offered a cash reward for information that leads to any arrests.
The Clarksburg Valley Inn fire September 12th was ruled incendiary in nature and caused about $125,000 damage.
The barn fire on October 10th was also ruled incendiary, with damage set at $50,000. A witness told police there were three males seen fleeing the area, none of them wearing shirts. The investigation also turned up information that an individual on a bicycle was observed acting suspiciously and was videotaping the fire.
