The Indiana County Commissioners Wednesday morning approved a bid for a project involving one of the county’s historic sites.
The bid was for road repairs at the Tunnelview Historic site, which was donated to the county in 1995 for the purpose of preserving canal and railroad era history, but county Parks and Trails Director Ed Patterson said that in recent years, it has seen a lot of recreational activity.
The winning bid was for $52,667.25 from Quaker Sales Corporation out of Johnstown and will come from the county liquid fuels program.
In other business, the Commissioners approved an agreement for ARP grant funding for the Solid Waste Authority. The $110,000 will go towards a new roof for their facility. Also, a change order was approved for the ICCAP food bank project to install a pressure regulator valve on the incoming water service line. The cost is covered with multi-source grant funds, but it will add $700 to the plumbing costs for the project.
