A passenger in a car that crashed yesterday in Center Township has died.
State police have identified the victim only as a 66-year-old Indiana Man. He was a passenger in the vehicle crash in the 4600 block of Warren Road. Police say that the vehicle, driven by an un-named 56-year-old Indiana Man went off the north edge of the road and up an embankment. The car came back on the road and went across the road, going off the southern edge, crashing into a fence and a tree. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by Homer City and Aultman Fire Companies. Both the driver and passenger were flown to Forbes Hospital for treatment.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office said that the passenger died after arriving at the hospital. The name of that person has not been released as next-of-kin have not been notified. State Police and their Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit are continuing to investigate.
